Celebration: A Church on the Move! PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Celebration definitely has been a church on the move in a geographical sense: Meeting at first in homes and meeting rooms (Love INC., Norton Shores Library), Hile Elementary School, West Michigan Christian, a tent in a parking lot, and now our new facility on West Sherman Blvd.. Each of these moves has been a "God Thing."
Celebration is also a church on the move in a ministry sense.  This is how we state this movement in our mission statement:

Determined to make a difference we will boldly reach out with love

to our neighbors and celebrate our relationship with God together!

We are a church always seeking to be the hands and feet of Jesus in action.  That is why we call our elder body the "Vision Team".  They are always asking, "Okay, what is God leading Celebration Church to do next? How can we love each other better? How can we love those around us better?  How can we love God better?"

This afternoon, the Vision Team is meeting for a retreat to do some praying and planning for the future.  Please keep our elders in your prayers as we continue to be the church on the move! Our elders are Tom Dunning, Rob DeJonge, Roger Doctor, Gary Wybenga, Dick DeBoer and the team is led by Pastor Greg.  God has taken Celebration this far and we look forward to many exciting ministry adventures in our future!
